The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player that exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court.  This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2011 OCA 9th Grade Boys Best Offensive Player Award is Demetrius Suesberry from Winton Woods High School.

Demetrius was one of the top scorers, distributors, and free throw shooters on the team this season.  His offensive versatility was on full display at the Spiece Memorial Day Run 'N' Slam Tournament in Fort Wayne, IN as he scored 12 points and dished out 7 assists against Central Western Red.  He also finished the season strong by scoring 23 points in a semi-final victory over the Indiana Force and 19 in OCA's championship game win over the Michigan Hustle in the Summer Sizzler Showcase in Indianapolis, IN.

When the game was on the line or we needed a basket, Demetrius wanted the ball to make a play for his team.  He has the confidence to take and make big shots in difficult situations.  I expect Demetrius to have a great sophomore season at Winton Woods High School and hope that he chooses OCA again next year.  Congratulations Demetrius!
