The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end.  These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity and will to win that he brings to each and every game.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2011 OCA 7th Grade Boys Most Improved Player Award is Josh McSwigan from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School.

Josh is an extremely unselfish player who will do whatever it takes to help the team win.  He was always willing to make the extra pass and could be counted on to be in the correct position on defense.  He increased his scoring average in the second half of the season and in his last game against the Wolves he scored 10 points.  He also represented our program in a first class manner on and off the court.

I believe that Josh will continue to improve because he is a hard worker, listens to his coaches, and applies what they tell him on the court.  I expect Josh to have a great season at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School and hope that he chooses OCA again next year.  Congratulations Josh!
