The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success.  This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2011 OCA 7th Grade Boys Most Valuable Player Award is Taylor Fogus from Norwood Middle School.

Whether it was sprinting hard in a drill at practice or diving for a loose ball in a game, Taylor led by example with his great effort.  He is an intense competitor whose hustle and energy earned the team several extra offensive possessions by fighting hard for rebounds and diving for loose balls.  Taylor led the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots this season.  He was also one of only two player to play in every game this year.

Taylor represented our program in a first class manner on and off the court.  I believe that he will put in the hard work that it takes to continue to improve on both ends of the floor.  I expect Taylor to have a great season at Norwood Middle School and hope that he chooses OCA again next year.  Congratulations Taylor!
