The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success.  This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2012 OCA 7th Grade Boys Most Valuable Player Award is Ben Sommer from Nagel Middle School.

Ben's aggressive play on both ends of the court created a lot of opportunities for himself and his teammates. His ability to beat his man off the dribble and get to the basket gave the team a consistent offensive threat and opened up opportunities for his teammates to be successful. His aggressiveness and great ball pressure helped to force turnovers, deflect passes, and he was always willing to step in to take a charge. Congratulations Ben!
