The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in her game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity and will to win that she brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2012 OCA 7th Grade Girls (Shinkle) Most Improved Player Award is Brooke Young from Amelia Middle School.
Brooke got better and better in every game she played this season. The effort that she put forth in practice translated to her succcess in games. She worked hard to improve her offensive post moves, box-out technique, and became a force on the boards as well with her shot blocking ability. With her work ethic, she will continue to improve every year. Congratulations Brooke!
