The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2012 OCA 10th Grade Most Improved Player Award is Mitch Hill from Sycamore High School.

Mitch really improved his game on both ends of the floor over the course of this season. He became a consistent offensive threat and was our most reliable three-point shooter. His consistent effort and hard work on defense allowed him to guard an athletic guard on one possession and a post player on the next. We were a better team when Mitch was aggressive on the boards. As the season progressed, Mitch's improved rebounding helped lead the team to several victories against some very tough opponents. I believe that Mitch has only scratched the surface as to the kind of basketball player that he can become and I'm excited to watch and be a part of his continued development. Congratulations Mitch!
