The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2012 10th Grade Boys Most Valuable Player Award is Bruce Williams from Georgetown High School.
We relied on Bruce to be our main inside presence this season and whether we needed him to score, grad rebounds, or get an important defensive stop, he always rose to the occasion. He was one of our top scorers, and led the team in rebounding and blocked shots this season. He was also always willing to sacrifice his body to draw a charge or to dive for a loose ball. Bruce is not only a good basketball player, but more importantly a good person. He represented our program in a first class manner on and off the court and with continued hard work, he has the potential to be a truly dominant post player. Congratulations Bruce!
