Mitch began the season as a shooter, but by the end of the year he became one of our team’s best scorers. He improved in the areas of physical play, defense, scoring, and overall aggressiveness. During a tournament in Dayton, Mitch played three different positions. He played point guard, shooting guard, and led us in scoring as a small forward during a game against the Nets. At one point, an opposing coach yelled out at his team, “he is doing whatever he wants…can someone stop him?” Mitch is also one of the nicest kids on the team and by the season’s end he began to learn how to leave that quality on the sideline and let his competitive fire take over.
