The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2013 OCA 8th Grade Most Improved Player Award is Mitch Suder from Loveland Middle School.

Mitch began the season as a shooter, but by the end of the year he became one of our team’s best scorers. He improved in the areas of physical play, defense, scoring, and overall aggressiveness. During a tournament in Dayton, Mitch played three different positions. He played point guard, shooting guard, and led us in scoring as a small forward during a game against the Nets. At one point, an opposing coach yelled out at his team, “he is doing whatever he wants…can someone stop him?” Mitch is also one of the nicest kids on the team and by the season’s end he began to learn how to leave that quality on the sideline and let his competitive fire take over. Congratulations Mitch!
