The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success.  This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2013 9th Grade Boys Most Valuable Player Award is Tyler Pilcher from Glen Este High School.

Tyler plays the game exactly the way every player should play the game. He brings a level of intensity and passion to the game that is unmatched. As an undersized post player, Tyler made the decision that what he lacked in size he was going to make up for it in heart and intensity. He was also looked at as a leader by his teammates. There were multiple examples of Tyler taking it upon himself to make sure that his teammates were doing everything they could to not only make themselves better, but also the team better. His team first attitude will carry him a long way as he improves as a basketball player. Congratulations Tyler!
