The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Defensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the defensive end of the court. This player through effort, hard work, and ability is able to disrupt the opposing team and take them out of their offense, by shutting down his opponent one-on-one or contributing to his team's success with great help side defense. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2014 OCA 7th Grade Boys Best Defensive Player Award is Brennen Rottmueller from Nagel Middle School.

Brennen is extremely versatile, can guard multiple positions, and always does so without any complaints. He loves the challenge of trying to shut down the opposing player. Whether it was diving for a loose ball, taking a charge, making a steal or getting an important rebound, he always did whatever his team needed to be successful. Brennen has an outstanding work ethic. I expect Brennen to have a great season with his school team this year

and continue to improve in all areas of the game.

Congratulations Brennen!
