The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court. This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2014 10th Grade Boys Best Offensive Player Award is David Winkler from McNicholas High School.
When you think of a pure scorer, you can’t help but think of David Winkler. David led the team in scoring with his dead eye accuracy from three point range, and his ability to create his own shot coming off of screens, or off the dribble. David’s ability to put the ball in the basket at any given moment was an extremely valuable attribute to our team. Knowing the type of competitor David is, I know he will continue to work on all facets of his game, as he strives to be an offensive and defensive weapon in the GCL! Congratulations David!
