The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court.  This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2015 8th Grade (McCallum) Boys Best Offensive Player Award is Michael Boon from Royalmont Academy.

Michael is a pure scorer. Whether he was being asked to play guard or battle down low with an opposing forward, Michael always found a way to put the ball in the basket. He was one of the leading scorers on our team this season and was deadly from the 3-point line. As the season progressed, he also became more aggressive off the dribble. Because of his ability to score, Michael often drew a lot of attention from the opposing team. When this happened, Michael showed off his passing skills by setting up his teammates for easy baskets. He is a team player that is always willing to do whatever is necessary for our

team to be successful. Congratulations Michael!
