The winner of the Best Offensive Player Award is...

The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court.  This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score.  I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2015 10th Grade Boys Best Offensive Player Award is Alex Johnson.

Alex was our second leading scorer and led our team in rebounding, but it was his versatility that was a key to our team's success this season. If I was an opposing coach, I would describe him as a "matchup nightmare." He is a tall player with a strong build that is difficult to handle in the post, but he is also able to step out and play on the perimeter. Alex was one of the best 3-point shooters on the team and was counted on to take and make big shots in crunch time. He was also a huge asset to our team against the press with his ballhandling skills.

I enojoyed coaching Alex this season and I look forward to coaching him again next year. I expect him to have a fantastic Junior season in high school and to continue to improve in all facets of the game. Congratulations Alex!
