The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2016 7th Grade Boys (Moore) Most Valuable Player Award is Theisen Lee from Nagel Silver Middle School!
Theisen used his speed, shooting range, athleticism and power to lead the team in both scoring and rebounding. What sets Theisen apart from most players is his ability to finish at the rim with both hands through contact. On defense he never gives up on a play. There were several times this season that he chased down an offensive player in transition and blocked his shot. He was also adept at creating steals by jumping into passing lanes. Theisen led by example through his hustle and it propelled our team to a great season. Congratulations Theisen!
