The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2016 10th Grade Boys (Smith) Most Valuable Player Award is Alex Puckett from Glen Este High School!
Alex was the floor general for our team. He excelled on both ends of the floor by coming up with timely baskets as well as creating turnovers defensively. Alex is constantly in the gym working on his game and it definitely showed as the season progressed. He was a leader on the floor and off. He was always studying the opposing team when he was on the bench to try to determine how the team could be more successful. He has the ability to score at will but he is also a very good passer that sets his teammates up in great positions to score. Every time that Alex stepped on the floor I knew he was giving it his all. Congratulations Alex!
