The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2017 OCA 8th Grade Boys (Hoffman) Most Improved Player Award is Ryan Hallinan from Milford Junior High School!
"Big Ryan" (as I called him) was one of our hardest workers. He is a great listener and extremely coachable. Whenever I told him he needed to work on some aspect of his game, I could always tell at the next practice that he had done what I had asked him to do. Ryan improved his offensive game throughout the season through using his post moves and on the perimeter by driving to the basket. He also became a much more aggressive rebounder. I'm excited to see Ryan continue to grow as a basketball player. Congratulations Ryan!
