The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court. This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2017 8th Grade Boys (Smorey) Best Offensive Player Award is Nate Mountain from Nagel Middle School!

Nate has excellent court vision and an extremely high basketball IQ. He is a very unselfish player that is always looking to set his teammates up for easy baskets and he is a nightmare for opposing defenders off the dribble and in transition. Nate also is an excellent ballhandler who at times was a one man press break. I always had confidence in tight games that Nate would make the right play for our team to be successful. I'm excited to see Nate continue to grow as a basketball player. Congratulations Nate!
