The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2017 8th Grade Boys (Smorey) Most Valuable Player Award is Ethan Zinn from Nagel Middle School!

Ethan was at or near the top of almost every statistical category for our team this season. He is a player that can score from anywhere on the court which makes him very difficult to defend. He is also a very aggressive and versatile defender that is able to match up with both perimeter and post players at times. Whether it was knocking down a clutch shot, grabbing a rebound or getting a key steal, Ethan always seemed to make a play when our team needed it the most. Ethan is a very hard worker that is always striving to improve his game and
I'm excited to see him continue to grow as a basketball player. Congratulations Ethan!
