The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Defensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the defensive end of the court. This player through effort, hard work, and ability is able to disrupt the opposing team and take them out of their offense by shutting down his opponent one-on-one or contributing to his team's success with great help side defense. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2017 OCA 10th Grade Boys (Brandy) Best Defensive Player Award is Braden Steele from West Clermont High School!

Braden is a very good athlete who plays extremely hard. He was always willing to take on the challenge of guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player. His energy and hustle on the defensive end allowed him to be one of our team leaders in steals and deflections. Braden is very coachable and is a team player. I wish Braden the best of luck with his school team this year and I look forward to watching his continued growth. Congratulations Braden!
