The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court. This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for his team, but is willing to share the basketball and put his teammates in position to score. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2017 11th Grade Boys (Callahan) Best Offensive Player Award is Jay Tiemeyer from West Clermont High School!

Jay was one of our main threats on the offensive end of the floor. He's a versatile player that can shoot from the perimeter, but that also attacks the basket and can finish very well inside. Jay scored a team high 364 points, was second on the team with 156 rebounds, and was fourth in total three pointers made this season. He is also an unselfish player that dished out a team high 119 assists this season.

Jay was one of our go-to-guys when our offense was sputtering or when we needed a basket at the end of the game. At the Memorial Day National Tourney, Jay had 27 pts., 6 rebs., and 4 assists while shooting 11/14 from the field to lead our team to a big win against O.E.B.A. White! Jay scored in double figures 14 times this season, grabbed five or more rebounds 17 times (which is an amazing number for a guard) and had three or more assists in 23 games this season. Simply put, Jay filled up the stat sheet game in and game out.

Regardless of the score or the situation in the game, Jay never gets too high or too low. He has a very calm demeanor that allows him to perform well in any situation. He is a hard worker and it has been a pleasure to see him improve each year since he started with our program in the 7th grade.

I enjoyed coaching Jay this year and I expect him to have a fantastic Senior season at West Clermont High School and to have the opportunity to continue his career on the next level. Congratulations Jay!
