The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2018 6th Grade Boys (Johnson) Most Valuable Player Award is Jordan Curry from Wilson Elementary!

Jordan was the driving force behind our offense this season. As the primary point guard, he was able to direct his teammates on the floor and distribute the ball. Jordan is also fearless when attacking the basket. This often allowed led to easy baskets for himself, opportunities at the free throw line, or easy baskets for his teammates. Jordan also moves well without the ball and is a very good perimeter shooter.

On the defensive end, Jordan was always willing to take on the responsibility of guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player. His combination of athleticism, hustle and energy earned our team several extra possessions. He is extremely coachable and a team player.
I'm excited to see Jordan continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Jordan!
