The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2018 7th Grade Boys (Red) Most Improved Player Award is Connor Stitt from Milford Junior High School!
Connor was asked to step into a more physical role than he has typically played in the past; transitioning from a small forward/guard to the power forward/center position. Defensively, he had to match up against much bigger and stronger players at times this year and as the season progressed he became much better in that role. He also had to go up against those same players on the other end of the court and by the end of the season he was able to score on them with solid post moves. As Connor improved, so did our team. He was a big part of our success this season. I'm excited to see Connor continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Connor!
