The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Defensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the defensive end of the court. This player through effort, hard work, and ability is able to disrupt the opposing team and take them out of their offense by shutting down his opponent one-on-one or contributing to his team's success with great help side defense. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2018 9th Grade Boys (Moore) Best Defensive Player Award is Pete Craft from Loveland High School!

Pete accepted whatever defensive assignment that was presented to him and attacked it with 100% effort. It didn’t matter if he was guarding a center, shooter, or switching a ball screen onto a point guard, Pete was always up to the challenge. His consistent rebounding allowed our team to get out and run in transition off of missed shots by our opponent. Also, he consistently knocked down mid-range jumpers and his left handed hook was deadly in the paint. I’m excited to see Pete continue to grow as a basketball player. Congratulations Pete!
