The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 7th Grade Boys (Moore) Most Valuable Player Award is Conner Moore from Goshen Middle School!
Conner can score in many ways; including shooting 3’s, posting up smaller guards, runners, and a variety of shots around the basket with both hands. He was our leading scorer this season, but more importantly he set the tone for our team at practice and in games. Conner provided leadership on the court and his effort and intensity often ignited our team to go on big scoring runs which led to numerous victories. He is also a very willing passer, often pushing the ball up court for easy lay-ups for his teammates in transition and he did an excellent job of putting his teammates in a position to be successful in our half-court offense. Conner did a little bit of everything to help our team be successful. I’m excited to see Conner continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Conner!
