The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 8th Grade Boys (Red) Most Valuable Player Award is Drew Novack from Mt. Orab Middle School!

Drew was our leading scorer this season and was also third on the team in assists. He is a very talented player that can score in a variety of ways. Defensively, Drew had a team leading 80 blocked shots this season. He also affected a number of other shots with his length, athleticism, and timing. Drew was third in steals and first in defensive rebounds. His ability to rebound consistently often helped us hold our opponents to one shot and fueled our transition offense. Simply put, Drew was a force for our team. I’m excited to see Drew continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Drew!
