The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 9th Grade Boys (Bruns) Most Improved Player Award is Alex Muir from Loveland High School!

At the beginning of the season, it was hard to tell just how good of an athlete Alex really was because he was trying to adjust to the speed of the game in AAU and getting to know his new teammates. However, once he got comfortable with the team, he began to succeed at a level that I expected all along. No one had Alex’s ability to take the ball the length of the court and finish in traffic. He just has another gear that is a big difference maker when it comes to creating offense in transition. Alex also has a very nice touch from the perimeter; but most importantly, he is extremely coachable. I’m excited to see Alex continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Alex!
