The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and will to win that he brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 10th Grade Boys (Smorey) Most Improved Player Award is Carson Klonne from Moeller High School!
Carson’s scoring and rebounding steadily improved as the season progressed. He was one our best rebounders, shot blockers, and was our third leading scorer. He also became a much more consistent defender in the low post using his length and athleticism to frustrate his opponents. Carson is a leader both on and off the court and has a high basketball IQ. He is very coachable and the kind of teammate that every player should strive to be. I’m excited to see Carson continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Carson!
