The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Defensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the defensive end of the court. This player through effort, hard work, and ability, is able to disrupt the opposing team and take them out of their offense by shutting down his opponent one-on-one or contributing to his team's success with great help side defense. I am proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 10th Grade Boys (Moore) Best Defensive Player Award is Theisen Lee from Moeller High School!

Theisen was given the assignment of guarding the opposing team’s best offensive wing player. He welcomed the challenge to get in that player’s space to make sure that they felt pressured and had to work as hard as possible to score. He did a great job of staying in front of his man, and if they did get inside of going straight up and not fouling so, our help defense had a chance to block the shot. Theisen used defense to create quick offense by turning steals and long rebounds into lay-ups. His ability to run the floor and finish was a big part of our team’s success this season. I’m excited to see Theisen continue to improve as a basketball player! Congratulations Theisen!
