The 2023 Spring/Summer Postseason Award winners for our 5th-12th grade tournament teams have been announced! On certain grade levels, our players move around between our teams for various reasons throughout the course of the season. These awards are based on how our teams were divided for the majority of the season.

 

Even though each of the players listed deserve the awards they received, I want to congratulate all of our players. Our teams are more than just a collection of talented individuals, they are collective units that rely on each other to be successful.

 

The 2023 Postseason Awards are...

 

The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Valuable Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on both ends of the floor and is indispensable to the team's overall success. This player has talent, intelligence, work ethic, and leads by example on and off the court. I am proud to announce the winners of the 2023 Most Valuable Player Awards are:

 

• 8th Grade Red - Grace Hoelscher
• 7th Grade White - Lilly Mahaffey
• 6th Grade Red - Erika Slone

 

The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Offensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the offensive end of the court. This player not only has the ability and confidence to take and make big shots for their team; but is also willing to share the basketball and put their teammates in positions to score. I am proud to announce that the winners of the 2023 Best Offensive Player Awards are:

 

• 8th Grade Red - Savannah Bell
• 7th Grade White - Makinley Smithson
• 6th Grade Red - Norah Adam

 

The Ohio Crossover Athletics Best Defensive Player Award is given to a player who exemplifies excellence on the defensive end of the court. This player through effort, hard work, and ability can disrupt the opposing team and take them out of their offense by shutting down their opponent one-on-one or contributing to their team's success with great help side defense. I am proud to announce that the winners of the 2023 Best Defensive Player Awards are:

 

• 8th Grade Red - Adilynn Carraher
• 7th Grade White - Brynley Kettler
• 6th Grade Red - Faith Hampson

 

The Ohio Crossover Athletics Most Improved Player Award is given to a player who has made significant strides in his game from the beginning of the AAU season to the end. These improvements are not only based on statistics, but also include the player's mental approach, intensity, and the will to win that they brings to each and every game. I am proud to announce that the winners of the 2023 Most Improved Player Awards are:

 

• 8th Grade Red - Cadence Boyd
• 7th Grade White - Savannah Perkins
• 6th Grade Red - Allie Tolle
